Pemkab Langkat bersama Koperasi Eks Karyawan Pertamina Dock PB/PS akan bersinergi mengaktifkan dan mengelola Dermaga (Galangan Kapal/Dock) milik Pertamina yang berada di Pangkalan Brandan.
Rencana pengaktifan dermaga ini hasil inisiasi dari Sekretaris Komisi B DPRD Langkat Fraksi PAN, Samsul Rizal Bay (Samray) yang disambut baik oleh Plt. Bupati Langkat H. Syah Afandin, SH.
Tujuannya untuk meningkatkan ekonomi masyarakat dan menambah PAD Pemkab Langkat yang berdampak pada kemajuan dan kesejahteraan negeri bertuah.
Pihak Koperasi Eks Karyawan Pertamina Dock PB/PS diwakili Vera Hervida (Sekretaris) dan Othman Junaidi sebagai (Pembina).
Mereka hadir bersama Samsul Rizal dan Ketua Kadin Langkat Zulkifli menemui Plt Bupati Langkat H Syah Afandin SH, di Rumah Dinas Bupati Langkat, Stabat, Senin (10/7/2023) untuk mendiskusikan hal tersebut.
Vera Hervinda menyatakan pengaktifan dock pelabuhan milik Pertamina di Pangkalan Brandan direncanakan prosesnya dimulai pada 13 Agustus 2023.
“Akan dilakukan pencanangan untuk dimulainya ground breaking dermaga tersebut,” ungkapnya.
Syah Afandin menegaskan Pemkab Langkat sangat mendukung pengaktifan dermaga itu.
Sebab pihaknya yakin aktifnya kembali galangan dock kapal yang sudah beberapa tahun belakangan ini terbengkalai mampu meningkatkan ekonomi masyarakat.
“Karena galangan tersebut masih punya potensi dan strategis untuk bisnis jika kembali difungsikan,” jelasnya.
“Jika bisa aktif kembali, dipastikan akan menyerap tenaga kerja dan mengurangi pengangguran salah satu dari banyak kemanfaatannya.
Jadi otomatis akan meningkatkan taraf hidup warga sekitar dan juga meningkatkan pendapatan buat pemerintah daerah,” tambahnya.
Selain mengaktifkan dermaga milik Pertamina di Pangkalan Brandan, Pemkab Langkat telah bekerjasama dan mendukung perjuangan pembangunan Dermaga Umum Pelabuhan Pangkalan Susu. Upaya ini semua bertujuan untuk peningkatan ekonomi semua lapisan pada sektor bisnis.(rel)
