Kawanan geng motor belakangan ini sangat meresahkan warga di Kota Binjai. Bagaimana tidak, dengan membawa senjata tajam (Sajam) puluhan orang yang umumnya remaja dan tergabung dalam geng motor, kerap membawa senjata dan melakukan konvoi di jalanan.
Guna mengantisipasi kejahatan jalanan ini, Tim gabungan dari Kodim 0203/LKT dan Polres Binjai, berhasil mengamankan 2 orang anggota geng motor yang bergabung dalam Tongkrongan Manusia Singa (TMS), di Jalan Megawati Kecamatan Binjai Timur, Minggu ( 11/6) sekira Pukul 01.30 Wib.
Keduanya berhasil diamankan berkat adanya informasi dari warga yang resah dengan komplotan geng motor yang selalu berkumpul di Jalan Baru Megawati.
Selanjutnya, tim gabungan yang dipimpin Pasi intel Kodim 0203/LKT Kapten Inf. Eben Pakpahan beserta Dan Unit Lettu Ariyanto, terus melakukan patroli bersama tim dari Polres Binjai. Hasilnya, mereka berhasil mengamankan 2 orang anggota geng motor.
Kedua pria yang bergabung didalam tim TMS tersebut diketahui bernama Dimas Nasution (20) warga Jalan Harapan, Dusun Puji Mulio, Kecamatan Sunggal, Kabupaten Deli Serdang, serta Rivaldo (20) warga Jalan Harapan, Dusun Puji Mulio, Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Keduanya diamankan saat mengendarai Sepeda Motor jenis Honda Beat, nopol BK 3104 AEZ.
Menurut Pasi intel Kodim 0203/LKT Kapten Inf. Eben Pakpahan, keduanya diamankan saat tim gabungan melakukan patroli dan pada saat itu terlihat kawanan geng motor dari RNR (Rock N Rol) 07 Jumpa Libas dan geng Motor TMS sedang berkumpul di Jalan Baru Megawati, sekira pukul 23.00 Wib.
“Ada sekitar 80 orang geng motor berkumpul di lokasi dengan mengendarai lebih kurang 40 unit sepeda motor, ” kata Kapten Inf. Eben Pakpahan, Senin (12/6).
Melihat adanya patroli gabungan dari petugas Kodim 0203/LKT dan Polres Binjai, para anggota geng motor membubarkan diri sembari mengacungkan parang panjang jenis kelewang ke arah petugas.
Karena panik dan jalan bergelombang, akhirnya pada saat melarikan diri 2 anggota geng motor hilang keseimbangan sehingga menabrak sebuah pohon yang tidak jauh dari tempat geng motor berkumpul.
Dari kejadian itu, salah seorang anggota geng motor mengalami luka luka dan mengalami patah kaki sehingga dibawa ke RSUD Dr Djoelham Binjai. Sedangkan satunya lagi diamankan tim Sat Reskrim Polres Binjai untuk dimintai keterangan.
Dari hasil patroli yang dilakukan tim gabungan Kodim 0203/LKT dan Polres Binjai, tim gabungan berhasil mengamankan 1 unit Sepeda Motor jenis Honda Beat BK 3104 AEZ milik Dimas serta 1 buah sebilah parang panjang jenis Kelewang. ()
