Pelaksanaan Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ) ke 56 Tingkat Kota Medan Tahun 2023 telah berakhir. Festival pemuliaan kitab suci Al Qur’an ini tidak hanya menjadi berkah bagi para peserta yang mengikutinya
Tapi juga bagi para pelaku UMKM. Sebab, mereka diberi ruang oleh Wali Kota Medan Bobby Nasution untuk ikut serta meramaikan pelaksanaan MTQ yang berlangsung selama sepekan tersebut sukses meraih rezeki.
Melalui momentum MTQ ini, menantu Presiden Joko Widodo ini memberi tempat bagi pelaku UMKM untuk memasarkan produknya.
Berdasarkan data dari Dinas Koperasi, UKM, Perindustrian dan Perdagangan (Diskop UKM Perindag) Kota Medan, terdapat sebanyak 100 stand UMKM yang ikut serta dalam gelaran acara yang berlangsung mulai 25 Februari hingga 4 Maret tersebut.
Upaya yang dilakukan orang nomor satu di Pemko Medan ini ternyata tidak sia-sia. Terbukti, selama sepekan berlangsung, tercatat omzet penjualan yang dihasilkan mencapai Rp. 2,2 milyar lebih.
Selain tingginya tingkat kunjungan masyarakat menyaksikan MTQ tersebut, animo untuk membeli juga sangat tinggi.
“Sejak awal pembukaan animo masyarakat yang membeli cukup tinggi. Di tanggal 25 Februari omzet mencapai Rp. 210.000.000. Lalu, 26 Februari sebesar Rp. 201.993.000, Rp. 245.750.000 di tanggal 27 Februari serta 28 Februari bertambah menjadi Rp.257.844.000.
Kemudian, 1 Maret sebesar Rp.280.620.000, 2 Maret mencapai Rp.290.765.000, 3 Maret sebesar Rp.325.750.000 dan puncaknya, 4 Maret sebesar Rp.430.000.000.
Kita akumulasi menjadi sekitar Rp. 2,2 milyar lebih,” ungkap Kadis Koperasi UKM dan Perindag Kota Medan Benny Nasution.
Langkah Bobby Nasution menempatkan UMKM selama pelaksanaan MTQ hingga berhasil meraup omzet penjualan hingga Rp. 2,2 milyar lebih mendapat sambutan baik dari dosen Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Sumatera Utara (FE USU) Wahyu Ario Pratomo.
Dinilainya, langkah yang dilakukan suami Ketua TP PKK Kota Medan Kahiyang Ayu ini sebagai kebijakan yang tepat.
“Langkah Pemko Medan di bawah kepemimpinan Pak Bobby Nasution untuk mengutamakan UMKM dalam pelaksanaan MTQ ini merupakan kebijakan yang sangat tepat.
Sebab, UMKM saat ini mulai kembali bangkit setelah masa Pandemi Covid-19 yang lalu mengalami kerugian dan tutup karena pasarnya yang terganggu,” kata Wahyu saat dihubungi, Rabu (8/3).
Wahyu menambahkan, kegiatan MTQ ke-56 Tingkat Kota Medan merupakan salah satu event tahunan yang melibatkan banyak masyarakat.
Mulai dari penyediaan tempat kegiatan, imbuhnya, transportasi, panganan, minuman dan barang-barang lainnya seperti souvenir.
Tentunya barang-barang tersebut, bilangnya, akan lebih memberikan dampak yang positif bagi peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat lebih luas jika disediakan oleh UMKM Kota Medan.
“Mengingat jumlah UMKM yang sangat besar dan mereka adalah tulang punggung perekonomian Kota Medan, maka keterlibatan UMKM dalam pelaksanaan MTQ akan dapat mengembangkan kembali usahanya setelah terpuruk pada saat Pandemi Covid-19 yang lalu,” pungkasnya.(yong)
